2005 Megabass MR-X Griffon – ITO Shrimp

2005 Megabass MR-X Griffon – ITO Shrimp

The 2005 Megabass MR-X Griffon in ITO Shrimp brings together an early-generation Griffon design and a classic Megabass colour. Its original 45mm body makes it a distinctive addition to a vintage Japanese lure collection.

Classic MR-X Griffon Design

The original MR-X Griffon is a compact, 1/4 oz floating crankbait designed to reach approximately 1.5–2.5 metres. Its rounded body and extended diving lip deliver the cover-deflecting action that helped define the Griffon family.

ITO Shrimp Collector Appeal

ITO Shrimp is not listed in the current standard MR-X Griffon colour lineup. Paired with this example’s 2005 vintage, the finish offers an appealing connection to an earlier era of Megabass design—whether displayed on its own or alongside other classic Griffon colours.
