Shimano Bantam World Minnow 115F Flash Boost Jerkbait

The Shimano Bantam World Minnow 115F Flash Boost is a floating minnow-style jerkbait built for covering shallow water and targeting bass around vegetation, submerged wood, rocks and shoreline structure.

Unlike the suspending World Minnow 115SP, the 115F rises toward the surface when paused. This floating action allows anglers to work the lure over shallow cover, pause it near obstacles and use the upward movement as an additional strike trigger.

Flash Boost Attraction During the Pause

Shimano’s Flash Boost system suspends a reflective plate on small springs inside the lure.

Rod movement, water movement and internal vibration cause the reflector to continue shimmering after the lure stops. This helps the World Minnow maintain visual attraction during pauses, when a conventional hard bait may become completely motionless.

Jet Boost Casting System

The Jet Boost system uses an internal moving weight supported by a shaft-and-spring mechanism.

During the cast, the weight shifts toward the rear to stabilize the lure’s flight and improve casting distance. Once the lure enters the water, the spring returns the weight to its swimming position, helping the bait begin working quickly after the retrieve starts.

This system is useful when making longer casts across shallow flats or precise casts alongside reeds, laydowns and other high-percentage cover.

Scale Boost Finish

Shimano’s Scale Boost holographic pattern is designed to reproduce the layered reflection of natural baitfish scales.

The detailed finish creates complex flashes as the lure rolls, darts and changes direction, complementing the internal Flash Boost reflector.

Floating Shallow-Water Action

The World Minnow 115F can be worked using several retrieve styles:

• Use a steady retrieve for a consistent wobbling action.
• Add twitches to create sharp directional changes.

• Pause the lure beside cover and allow it to rise.
• Use stop-and-go retrieves over grass, rocks and submerged branches.

Its approximate 1m running depth makes it primarily a shallow-water jerkbait. Shimano specifically highlights darting the lure around reeds and branches before allowing it to float upward.
